Week 11: Action Photography

This week, we focused on action photography by going to Sandy Bay as the athletics heats were on, to practice taking photos of people doing sports. I think it was pretty hard since everything happened so quickly and it was hard to get the correct composition where people kept on moving around. It was also my first time shooting in such a sunny environment so getting the best camera settings took a while as well.

This was my shot list:
- Emotions
- The crowd
- The starting line
- The finish line
- The race from a different perspective
- Long or triple jump
- In flight
- Motion

I couldn't get all the things in my shot list like the crowd and the race from a different persepective.

Here are some of my best shots that I took and then edited in Lightroom:

Some things I need to work on is to get a less busy background because as I looked through my pictures, I noticed that my background usually included a lot of other people. Although it is hard to avoid these people in some of my shots, in some photos, I should have at least tried to blur the background so that it won't distract the subject.
